How many of you have ever denied being a certain type of Christian? Judgemental, Hypocritical, and downright mean. At the end of the day, what type of Christian are you?

The following is a question I was asked by a student reporter for the school newspaper at Chaparral High School earlier this school year. I wanted to post the question and the response to show you just somethings God and His people are up to at Southeast Christian Church.
Why are you involved in Chaparral? What do you hope to get out of involving your church with Chap?
I once heard someone ask the question, “If your organization were to stop existing tomorrow, would anyone notice?” That question really got me thinking about Southeast. I would like Southeast Christian Church to have such a positive impact on our community, that if it did not exist tomorrow, the community would be devastated.
Southeast Christian Church desires to Love God, Love People and Impact the World. Globally our church helps people in the jungles of Panama by building them homes and schools, providing them with food and an education. In Kenya, we build schools to help educate th ...

Each week hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of fans tune in on their televisions and radios to witness the Denver Broncos football game. Fans fill the stadium and chant “Tebow! Tebow! Tebow!” They wear blue and orange shirts; hats and some even wear body paint. This might surprise some of you, but I have never worn body paint. Not because I don’t believe in it, but because paint's expensive. Can you imagine how much paint my body would need? I can’t afford it! The fans watch the game and then they go back to their lives waiting until their next opportunity to see, not angels in the outfield, but what appears to be angels in the end zone.
I began a big Tebow fan this football season. I look forward to seeing how he is going to pull the Broncos out of a point deficit in the final seconds of the games each week. I love to cheer, holler and scream with my wife and kids as the Bronco win. I talk about Tebow’s stats with friends and coworkers. I listen to news about Tebow. I am a big fan. But, I have to be ...

I am a rock collector. The rocks I collect aren’t shiny and they don’t sparkle. Although to me they hold great beauty. They aren’t worth a lot of money. However I won’t part with them easily. No the rocks I collect are just rocks to anyone else but to me they are wonderful, because of what they represent. Every rock I collect has a story, a moment that I shared with my God. Many of my moments with Him occur on a hike or on top of a mountain. I can’t seem to step into the beauty of nature without finding Him. Our conversation begins. I speak, He listens, then He speaks and I listen. Sometimes we argue and almost every time I cry. But then something always happens. Life becomes very clear, not simple or easy, but clear. I don’t necessarily have the answers or know exactly what I am to do next, but in that moment where I am enveloped in my Father’s love, I can see life clearly. Maybe it’s because I start looking outsi ...

I think it is funny how we have websites, businesses and so much more out there to help you answer questions. Well I have a solution that is free for you. Although it wasnt free for Jesus. Try asking God and then waiting and see what happens.

I doubt Tim Tebow will ever actually read this but I thought I would write it anyway.
Dear Mr Tebow,
First let me say thank you to you and the Broncos for beating the Raiders on Sunday. There was much rejoicing in our home because of it. I am not a crazed Broncos fan, in fact I really dont like football. Sorry, I really have tried. So I am not writing to you because of your celebrity status or because I love football. I am writing to you as a mother of two Middle School boys. I am writing to you to say thank you. In a world where famous athletes are disgustingly prideful, self centered, and too often in trouble with the law, you my friend are a breath of fresh air. I have had many discussions with my boys about you and the crazy "Tebowing Trend". My 7th grader is quite upset that people are making fun of you for that and yet he is seeing someone else live out what he struggles to do everyday. Be the same person in publi ...
